The Redbird

July 31, 2013

Before I take a little summer break, I want to share some special pictures with you.
Over a year ago (already! time is a runner!),  I took part in a giveaway-lottery and (yeay!) won a Rollei Redbird. The giveaway was raffled off by Angie Muldowney on the occasion of her birthday last year. Her blog is a wonderful place - not only for photography-lovers. She's full of ideas and inspiration and her posts always leave me in a good mood.

So, me and the Redbird. I don't really know why, honestly, but I was so choosey when it came to pull the trigger for a picture that it took me almost a year to fill the film. I think, I wanted to prolong the anticipation - maybe because I really didn't know what I was doing there.

Thank you so much for this giveaway, Angie! Me and the Redbird had a wonderful time! :)

*all pictures were shot with the Rollei Redbird and slightly edited in Photoshop

I'm off now for a summer break! Travelling through Scotland! I'm excited! And I will bring pictures! Loads of! Hopefully! :)

  3. Ooh I love these, especially the ones shot into the sun! I'd not thought about it before but you're right, you can eek it out the film over the course of a year with a disposable camera and not feel pressured into finishing. So pleased you loved your prize :)
