I shot this film during the last weeks, which involved a lot of travelling and sleeping in hotels (due to appartment construction works) ... the pictures were made in Berlin, Brandenburg and Norderney, the far north. The film was a Kodak Farbwelt 200 and I'm not sure if I like the outcome very much. For my taste it's a bit too muddy and dull when it comes to colours. But it was March, the winter not quite gone, the spring yet to come. Maybe it wasn't the films fault... :)

analogue friday - on the road
March 25, 2016
With the roll of this film (Kodak Ektar 100, one of my favourites) I take you into the Berlin suburbs, to the end of the underground line U7. It is very contrary to the last posts on my blog here, that rather showed the beauty and strength of nature. I definitely am not a fan of these "concrete parks", these remains of the 60s and 70s, when brutalism architecture was widely considered as a good idea to live in. However, I cannot deny that I'm also fascinated by this plain, faceless mightiness and strange beauty of these buildings.
Have a nice weekend and if you celebrate it: Happy Easter! ♥

Last week I showed you some analogue pictures of my travel through the Scottish Highlands - this week I take you even further North. These pictures are from the Shetland Islands, a place that I fell in love with so much. Its almost alien looking landscape is fantastic for the strange and alluring beauty of analogue photography.
Enjoy and have a wonderful weekend! ♥
PS: These white dots in the picture below are sheep and seagulls - such mega cliffs!

[lights of a little port on the Orkney Islands, seen from B&B window, on a windy, rainy night]
This week's roll takes you into the Scottish Highlands, two years ago. Apart from the first one, which was taken on the Orkney Islands. Unfortunately, I have no other analogue pictures of the Orkneys (sigh), but at least I took some of the Scottish castles and Highlands. It was an unusually sunny summer and so my pictures of the Highlands are a bit different from what I thought they would be. But, hey, I will not complain about the sun :)

[Eilean Donan, this old, photogenic beauty! Also famous because of movies like Highlander and James Bond: The world is not enough]
